Pauline "Mom" Lomax was born in Mount Solon, VA on July 11, 1928. She was the second child of Ruth and Clarence Bundy. Quietly and peacefully on Friday, July 23, 2010 her father called her home to his loving arms.

Pauline was educated in Staunton, VA at Booker T. Washington High School and went on to attend Storer College in West Virginia and obtained a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. On August 1, 1957, she married William "Sarge" Lomax, the marriage was blessed with 4 children, Linda, William Jr., Kelvin, and Penny.

She began her career as a teacher but determined she wanted to work for herself and became a Domestic Engineer of the Highest Caliber. She worked for a Supreme Court Judge, a few Lawyers and a couple of doctors. Taking care of others was her primary concern. Pauline was outgoing and vivacious. She enjoyed her family, traveling, dancing and any cultural activity, especially her alumni Storer College. She loved to do and go anywhere as long as her children were around and ready to go. She loved good food and good company. She loved people so much that she has a long list of adopted sons and daughters.

Pauline departed this life after a brief hospitalization. She is survived by her children; Sylvia D. Thornton (step-daughter)', Gregory D. Brown, Linda A. White (Roger), William "Billy" Lomax, Jr., Kelvin C. Lomax (Rhonda), Penny R. Lomax-Stevens (Eric), one brother, 2 sisters, 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
