It was definitely our honor and our priviledge to have befriended Pat Cooper. Whatever her circumstance at any given time, you'd never know anything was wrong by the smile that radiated from her entire being. If your countenance was low, it would surely be lifted after one of Pat's gigantic bear hugs and smiles when she greeted you.

When I think of Pat, I can't help but think of that part of Phillipians 4:8 where it says "whatsoever things are pure..." because if you knew Pat, you knew her heart was pure, and "whatsoever things are lovely..." because her smile lit up the world; "and if there be any praise..." because Pat was praising her Lord all the day long!!! We know she's shoutin' in Heaven right now! "Think on these things." Phillipians 4:6-8

We love you Pat, we'll miss you!

I shall always remember Pat's warm smile, her strength and determination.
May your memories of Pat give you strength during these difficult times.

Pat’s Family and Friends:

It was a great privilege to have known Pat Cooper and call her my friend.

For the past five years, I go to work with Pat on the Kennedy Center Honors and Christmas in Washington television specials that she helped produce. We also worked on the Obama Inaugural Concert at the Lincoln Memorial.

One of Pat’s greatest contributions to our world was the gift of music.

Pat has sung with some of the biggest recording acts in American history, and has helped hundreds upon hundreds of young people develop the love of music.

The most beautiful choir is said to be the choir that greets us when we arrive in Heaven. If I know Pat, -- she is already taken over that group, moved some of the singers around, and brought in some beautiful voices of friends that arrived in Heaven before her.

It’s been an honor to know and work with Pat Cooper and I will honor her memory.
